The Rhythm Rangers combine a unique high energy blend of Classic Rock, Hot New and Classic Country Music, and Blues with a driving dance beat, excellent vocals, impeccable professionalism, showmanship, and a touch of humor. An article in the Los Angeles Times stated that “The Rhythm Rangers have cultivated a range of fans from Bankers to Bikers. They have tight, seasoned musicianship as a result of being one of Southern California’s hardest working bands” The Santa Barbara News Press called them “California’s best band”, after playing a Show for Queen Elizabeth at President Reagan’s Santa Barbara estate. “Alaska Boogie”, a tune off the Rhythm Rangers’ debut album, broke into regular rotation on Top 40 radio. The tune was written while on tour in Alaska.
Michael J, guitar and vocals. Michael J’s credits includes working with Canned Heat, Albert Collins, Kim Wilson of the Fabulous T-Birds, Freddy Fender, The Kingston Trio, Big Mama Thorton, Pee Wee Crayton, and Luther Tucker. He also sings lead vocals as Johnny Cash in The Mighty Cash Cats, a group described by Fairs and Festivals magazine as “America’s finest Johnny Cash Tribute Band.” The Mighty Cash Cats. The Rhythm Rangers can do their highly acclaimed Johnny Cash Tribute Show as part of your event. The Casper Star Tribune said, “It is about as close to the real thing as you can get.” According to The LA Reporter Magazines, “Michael J embodies Johnny Cashin both voice and look.” The Rhythm Ranger’s Johnny Cash Show can range from a greatest hits medley to a full 90 minute Show.

Lead Vocalist Leticia Blumette is equally at home belting out a Hot New Country tune by Shania Twain, Gretchen Wilson, Wynnona and Mary Chapin Carpenter, a Classic Country tune by June Carter or Patsy Cline, an R&B number by Aretha Franklin, to a Classic Rock tune by Fleetwood Mac.
Kenny Lee Lewis, bass, guitar, and vocals. It’s a treat to hear Kenny put on his dark shades and sing Roy Oribison’s, “Pretty Woman.”

In addition to a driving beat, The Rhythm Rangers feature three and four part vocal harmonies. Michael J, Letcia Blumette, Craig Newton and Kenny Lee Lewis all sing lead and background vocals. Each adds distinctive voice to the music. The Rhythm Rangers have won the prestigious Reporter Best Band Poll as well as the KHAY Radio best band poll. They have toured extensively around the West, Northwest, and Midwest.
